Virus ------ed Up My Pc Really Bad...

    Weird your hijackthis log SEEMS normal.

    Did your anti-virus detect anything?

    Couldn't system restore =/

    My anti virus found a trojan, but it already did enough damage.

    I would of reformatted but I needed to back up ----, plus my cd was acting really wierd. It took 6 trys to get into the windows install cd, because it kept freezing up.

    have you tried safemode w/o networking?
    or with command prompt and run some scans from shell?

    i just got one and reformatted the comp. im sure you can find a recovery cd somewhere, online or store.

    just run the superantispyware lol fixes all your problems really.

    hey ravr, that superantispyware thing ------ed up my pc even more, it screwed up so my applications couldn't start and my pc pretty much froze.

    i reformatted already though.

    if you use a spyware sweeper it can infact remove vital files
    that the spyware replace so if you remove it
    your pc gets cracked like an egg


    best thing to do is

    not install the bs in the first place :)

    Go to start -> run and type msconfig

    Go to startup and uncheck anything you dont need or are unsure of.

    Also, look in Services and uncheck anything not microsoft
