    bassicly i set up one hard drive for my OS and i want the other hd set up for all data crap like programs now ive set my documents folder and my programs to be set to my other hd but im having problems trying to find where to edit to set the application data to be set to the other hd as well.

    Did you format the other HD where you want to set up your programs that you don't want on your Main HD?

    You need to format it then the Comp will show the Application Data.

    ive been editing the registry to change the default locations to the other drive.

    what's the OS you're working with?

    hmm...

    i assume you have xp seeing how it says xp on the title of the thread..

    my bad, i found a way to do it on vista, but nothing for xp yet give me a few



    alright i cannot find out anything about moving it with xp...

    so here is an alternative,

    get a backup program, if you dont already ownone, here a a few from downloads.com

    ok so here is the idea,
    get a backup utility and chose what you would like to back up, in this case the application data folder(s)

    and have them be backed up on your other hdd

    im not sure if this will even work, but it sounds some what logical to me,
