Idea.

I have a pretty decent idea.
I don't know if you completely remember the Game renders Mafia. If you dont just ask me.
Anyways I wanted to put together something like that.

Where there is a forum and members will pay too get access to the forum, roughly 100-300 Cr idk yet.
And the forum will be stocked with premium resources. And the credits they pay with will be put forth to more
and more resources.

Also if member dont want to pay that much there are more memberships like...
-Temparary - 100 Credits (3 weeks)
-Lifetime - 500 Credits

The whole idea is just so there will be complete income coming
in so we can keep buying more and more resources. That's the only reason.

Anyone want to give me more ideas to make it better.

 

It sounds decent..and Yes I do remember the GR Mafia, I was one of them dammit :lol:

The Idea about the forum...sounds good but a shop would work fine .. either way it sounds good..

Then you will need A GR Mafia Crew who actually keeps everything up and running..

The reason I thought of a forum, is because then members can get a membership,
so we can keep it running and have an income on credits to use to buy resources with.

 

I remember GR Mafia; I believe I donated to that =)

Really good idea, it would get the members posting again (credits) & also help members who have gotten into it. So Activity + Help = Great Idea.

 

This will NEVER happen again unless its ran by a moderator or staff (and not even moderator, but an active member of global or admin status).

Every single past mafia was shut down because it ended up being essentially a scam, or the resources gained were never put to use and members were complaining about donating 12,000 credits and not being used, etc.

For instance, Darkstar sat on over 55,000 credits and used them to buy his own things, but only bought 3-4 things for the Mafia.

Sorry, others have ruined your chances of running this.

 

I agree Dem, which is why I posted here too see if an admin or
GM would consider helping out. Making sure things get done.

 

Also, there already exist three boards with premium resources.

I would have helped you with this but as you know, i am due to give birth at any time and just don't have time right now to deal with everything needed to get this up and running smoothly. I have always liked these ideas (bit of a sucker for them to be honest) but everytime i got involved with someone else doing this, something went wrong, people were scammed and donations sent in for resources etc were not used.

I also ran my own thing like this quite a while back now and i trusted the wrong people, people who stole from the account that had the credits on it which got myself into alot of trouble and almost banned from the site, it also got my user aid shop closed and i was not allowed to open it again. (Some guys just can't be trusted).

Now i am not saying you would do this, but for myself to get involved in this, i would want people that i KNOW and have known for a very long time to be involved in this, no-one outside of GR, no-one that i do not know personally and have known personally for a while now. You would also have to wait for me to get settled with having a new baby etc before i could even consider helping you guys out.

 

Thats the wrong attitude to have as an administrator - the idea will work great, we just need a good leadership band to take care of it. Someone we know and who will use the creds wisely.

If we bring in a higher authority figure it will work well. Kirbir already volunteered,
but I'm not going to say anything, because she obviously has other things to handle right now.

Anyhow Dem, I never got to touch the credits in the past It was either DarkStar or Andrew who kept them...So can't blame me for it

But G70 was a good man, wish he would come back :wub: ...miss him a lot!

 

It does repeat, if you dont learn from it. In which this case we did.
By knowing that peopel get greedy...easily. The clear up to this problem,
is simply getting a trust worthy staff member helping out.

For Example: If Dementia helps this is what my idea is. We make a forum of some sort, how ever dem think it should be done...ect. It will be locked.
I already have resources to share. And people will start paying credits to access, and if its not starting off well yet. I have enough credits to get more
and more resources. When people buy access they will be able to see it. My idea is too have a temporary membership type thing, so it keeps bring
members back for more/new resources...ect. If anyone has any more ideas to perfectionize this idea, feel free to put forth your idea.

and about the credits. The credits will be put into an account that only Dem,
and whoever else he wants to have access (other staff..idk) And when we
are going to re-stock the resource, he will give me a controlled amount of creds at
a time to buy the resources with. Making sure I dont get away with anything.

Like I said above, I am liking the idea, but just curious on how History will repeat itself this time.

As for the Forum / Accounts, It would work but then again Admins / Staff are currently busy with one their life, and two upgrading for v4. So that might not work then.

Still, if anyone is up for it, I got a big hunk amount of credits waiting for me to use them, So I am up for buying more resources for the forum if it helps.
