1 - Docking software. Anyone know of a lightweight, free, desktop docking program which doesn't bug you for stupid upgrades and such? Just a no-gimmicks included desktop dock? I know of Object Dock and Rocket Dock, I have tried neither yet, as I am just looking at them at work, but can anyone tell me other software similar, or the pros / cons of each? Is object dock anything like its window blinds friend where it will constantly nag you to upgrade to the plus version after so long and acting like a trial rather than actual free software? 2 - Anyone know of skinning software? Obviously as mentioned above I know about Windowblinds, and I currently use the .msstyle format skins from the uxtheme.dll fix. Preferably free, non nagging as with the dock? I am getting bored of the available .msstyle skins I can find and I am thus looking for something with a bit more selection. 3 - Any known XP SP2 .msstyle skins that are actual replicas of Vista (not with the whole desktop GUI resource hog with calendar and big clock and forecast and such, just the design aspect) that DOESN'T have the alias'd text (which for w/e reason they all seem to come with)? I like the design, just not the actual software. Obviously, I am running Windows XP SP2, so it all needs to be compatible.
1 I've used objectdock and rocketdock and objectdock is far superior imo 2 No Idea i use the UXtheme hack 3 Kol's theme was pretty much a exact clone upto the point M$ asked him to remove it from dA for being too much of a clone, its still floating around on torrent sites.
1. Rocketdock is pretty good yea, or you can use Y'z Dock 2. TGTSOFT Stylebuilder. 3. Download SP3 lol uhh > http://bf-87.deviantart.com/art/Vista-Theme-for-XP-67785264 ?
Upgrade to SP3 Dem, the SP shouldnt make a difference as to what software runs, you basically just need something XP compatiable. Sorry just a side note in your thread.
Too lazy to update to sp3. I found an exact Vista replica for msstyles, but it took a few hours. Still looking for a good object dock, objectdock wasn't cutting it for me.
ObjectDock is good. I have never had any problems with it. no lag or anything. I use a fairly simple dock.. Here's a screenshot with my icons. Took forever to find these icons. I also stopped using windows blinds and I use the msstyles. I'm using Royale Remixed; Royale Noir skin.
Any clue where to find some nice folder / file 3d icons in black / white? It matches my current setup best. I just couldn't get it to look correct, didn't seem practical enough to use it when it takes up resources.

I wish =( I went through pages and pages of art and wallpapers and couldn't find a wallpaper that suited my new GUI and Dock =( lol
If you're looking for a dock, I suggest Rocketdock with the stacks docklet. It's lightweight, fast, free, and VERY easily skinable (basically just 3 pngs you can make in PS yourself) -Stacks docklet: Here And for skins, just use windows classic. ^_^
