  1. Has anyone heard of Apocalyptica?

I've been listening to their music, and they are simply awesome cello players.

Here is one of their songs titled "Path" in which they fight their inner demons to choose a path:

Tell me what you all think, I simple love them.

Great band, but they don't have many original songs, they generally do the cello instrumental versions of other popular songs such as metallica's songs. They do have some original songs though with vocalists from other bands (I'm not Jesus w/ Corey Taylor, Path w/ Sandra Nasic, etc.).

If you like Sandra Nasic's voice in the Apocalyptica stuff, you should check out her old and disbanded band, Guano Apes, they have some good songs as well (Open Your Eyes and Big in Japan (Cover - much better than the original) are popular songs by them).

  3. I was actually looking into the Guano Apes yesterday when I found out Sandra Nasic was part of the band. Even though Apocalyptica doesn't have very many original songs, their instrumental covers are simply amazing more than 80% of the time. I agree that the guest vocalists do improve some of their songs, but some of their songs like "Path" and "Struggle" are simply amazing without vocals.
