Hi, I just had a simple question, is this mobo: http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/MSI-K9A2-Pl...roductDetail.do compatible with this hard drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16822148318 Also, what does ATA and SATA stand for? Thanks!
You have PATA & SATA Pata is the same as IDE Green is the PATA SATA is newer and faster and has more abilities as far as i can see the motherboard has 1 IDE port, but be careful some cd/dvd rom players are still IDE, so you gotta be carefull with it, you can better order a harddrive with SATA connector, as you have way more of those ports on the mobo
About the Sata and ATA question : http://www.bigbruin.com/techtip.php?file=008 and ravr is right, just get a switcher too
