    Well I have cs2, and I've never had cs3.

    Whats the difference?

Is cs3 really THAT much better?

or should I just stick with cs2?

If you have enough money on hand you can go for CS3, but I'd stick with CS2.

Yes, CS3 is a lot better.

They've improved most of the important adjustment layers, especially Brightness and Contrast which probably uses a new algorithm. They have a new B&W adjustment layer. The filters have been improved. It starts up a lot faster and closes a lot faster.

It has a better interface. I could go on.

CS3 takes long to download. Btw, the trials now out again. I suggest going for it though.

    CS2 is better then CS3.

If you have a 256 MB DDR SDRAM memory its going to slow down your computer ;).

    I use PhotoShop 7.0 tho :P

    Nope.

CS3 has the same tools as CS2 but more features, so basically CS2 can't be better.

CS3 is definitely better. I started using Photoshop at v6, when it first came out in 2002. I've upgraded the day I could to every new version since, and each one has been significantly better then the previous. CS3 trumps CS2. The features don't even compare.

And Here I thought CS2 and CS3 were essentially the same..
    Guess I learned something.

CS3 has Smart Filters, improvements to Curves, Brightness and Contrast, Channel Mixer, Black and White, and Vanishing Point. Auto Align and Auto Blend. Quick Select tool. A revised (and definitely improved) interface. Improved cloning and healing. Faster launching/closing. Oh yeah, it's better.

cs3 is way more improved on alot of aspects.

but the thing i love is the new interface, gives me more room to work, and less scrolling from side to side cause i work on large canvases
