How do you know if "most" people on GR hate him? Maybe you might have made a poll or so, but there are over 200.000 members and I'm sure not all of them voted, and if they have not even half of them probably voted GP just because they wont care? Also he may be irritating as you say, but it is still just E-Irritation... You are getting fed up about someone who types words over the internet..
Theres about 1,000 active members on any given day. Lets say 300 of those members visit the General Discussion and Spam/Flame forums, I'd say more than half of them dislike Greasy Pete. It's not the fact that it's over the internet, it's the fact that he's an utter annoyance. He's proven, time and time again, that he has the mental capacity of a 3rd grader. Atleast 2 high staff members dislike him highly, most of the IRC room dislikes him like no tomorrow.
I'm supporting GP. Yes, he is a retard. Yes, he is stupid. Yes, he is a moron. However, he hasn't done anything wrong, apart from acting stupid. If you want to ban someone, you should ban the IRC gang. Hail GP! -

See, that's just the attitude I'm sick of with GP. Just because it's the internet doesn't give you the right to be a total idiot, if you can help it. I believe he can help it, I enjoy coming here and talking with people, but when he posts and talks I get really irritated. There is no reason to try and make people mad, there just isn't. 300,000 members, lawl, like that figure matters AT ALL. The active people on this website. Most of them don't like him, because he tries to make people dislike him. Which is fine, but I'm sick of it. I don't mind arguing. I really don't, I do it a lot. However, when you argue time after time with no real idea of what the argument even is, but you won't just shutup, you keep on trying to make yourself and others laugh, I personally get irritated. Let's just say I don't hate him but I don't like him either. He's funny though, like the basement thing, I really lol'd. I would love to help the cause but this kinda of takes it to the extremes, its like someone's gotta leave for someone to make money. He might be annoying and all but, he moves the community in a way.
First of all a typo you made: 300,000 members where I said 200.000 members.. And the thing is, he probably loves this. The reason that he wants people to hate him is because he likes to get people pissed off about E-arguing, so if you keep arguing with him he will like it more and more, and if you just ignore him he'll graduatly start to turn into a less irritating guy.. Also I wasn't really aiming at your mental capacity, more the one from iPoo, seeing he started about "our" (Those who don't want/don't care (if) GP banned) so the mental capacity was more aimed at iPoo.
Besides is it not MITM or whatever it is called motive to annoy and irritate other people? "They" use racial banter and insult people to annoy and irritate people and yet hate GP because he is acting stupid and does the same thing? I do believe that is something to laugh at. -
GP obviously cares what people think of him, or he wouldn't try to brag about smoking crack, pot, and salvia, and then come on IRC and say his girlfriend has tried coke before.
