Well Rena and I started a music site a while back ago, that died down. http://www.allmusicforum.com . It seemed that people just ran out of things to say and I didn't put 100% into it.

If you own a DS or a Wii, a really nice site would be one dedicated to ONLINE GAMING, because alot of games for DS and WII require you trading friendcodes, and dont have like a quickplay, like pokemon for example

I cant play against someone unless I have there friendcode, so open a site dedicated to that, and advertise it, and hundreds of people who play will come. Ive been looking for one for a while. I found one, NEOSEEKER, and its ------ active, but its horiibly organized so i left, ANd i was part of one a LONG time ago WiFi league, but i cant find the new url suince they moved. But if you would think this is a good idea, contact me, and ill give you some space on my host. Free space, and UL bandwidth. We can work it together if ya want. Hit me up if you like.

---If you have other ideas, still hit me up, ill still hold that offer. lol

The name is not important at all. It could have been carpetdust.com. If the name is easy to remember, then your golden. AllMusicForum.com is easy to remember, long, but easy.

Not liking the forum skin??? :P

Aslong as you make a somewhat unique forum not like all the others, you'll do great!

sorry i doubt it would work
though my dream is to have my own gaming site, and multiple game servers to coincide
too many sites like this are attempted
    and don't work out

i would recommend, saving your cash for a better investment

Yeah I agree with the above poster, you probably have invest a few grands and the odds of the forum being a success is quite slim.

If your 'thinking' about making a forum, just don't.

You either have an idea, and you put it in motion, and you invest a LOT of personal time, money, and effort, or you don't do it at all, because it will fail. Despite most peoples beliefs, running a successful forum is EXTREMELY hard work, and you can't be casually thinking of something like, 'I am bored, so therefore I am going to open a forum to release my boredom'. No, that is what existing forums are for, we don't need anymore half arsed crappy websites being posted by people who aren't serious about it.

You have to be dedicated and it has to be unique if you want it to be successful.

I've hosted a few forums before, they all failed. My problem was spreading the word, which I mostly had to do myself, keeping it active; lack of material. It's tough work, hire a staff.
