Hello, I 'am trying to install a Geforce 7600 GS OC 512MB DDR2. The problem is my COMPUTER IS HORIZONTAL <----->. When I plug the graphics card into the AGP port, the cover (which happens to have a fan connected to it) does not close. Any suggestions would be appreciated. *edited the information about the graphics card.*
Ya, no such thing as an AGP 8800 Pretty sure AGP stops in the 7 Series. So you might want to go ahead and bring that back Some AGP Graphics cards, all are 512MB HIS Radeon HD 3850 IceQ 3 Turbo Video Card EVGA GeForce 7600 GT Superclocked Visiontek Radeon X1650 ---
The graphics card is a Geforce 7600 GS OC 512MB DDR2. Does it matter what it is? I'am asking how I can install it into my HORIZONTAL COMPUTER (<---->) Again, any suggestions would be appreciated.
Alrighty, well it can matter depending on the type of motherboard you have and all... But a picture would really help. Maby get one off the internet, or take a picture with your camera
Alright, I'll try to take one when I get home. Also, I have an AGP slot in the computer, I just need to know how I could put the cover on with the graphics card attached.... Again, I'll try to take a picture..
If it's too big then well, it's too big. You may not be able to put your cover back on as Ravr said, unless there's some type of mod you could use for your case.
ahh so small form factor case. best card I know of for that is an 9600GT I beleive. don't know how many of them have been made though. I just remember reading an article on it a month or two ago and that was it.
*bump* Does anyone know of graphics cards that can be placed in a horizontal computer? 9cm high (3.5 inches)
anything dubbed "low form factor" again the 9600 is the fastest of such cards out and it's a low volume product so you'de have to look around a bit. It's not on newegg. EDIT: AGP port... argh... changes everything... you're basically screwed. AGP began being phased out years ago. specialty cards for it are basically non existent. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16814161074 it's a PCI card but it would work.definately pricey though. but that's what happens when you buy small form factor stuff, you get slower parts and you pay more for them.
