I think this is likely to happen(And will in the next five years) and many people i knew predicted this years ago.

    Taking into account the history of the world;
    pearl habour
Hiroshima Bomb on japan against innocent people.
    cold war
    war against the soviets
    War against the nazi's
    War against terror (current)

a war against "terror"who are simple country folk who went to talib school and would die for their country is taking many years.
How long would it take against a country with a far superior army with air, land and sea then you talib. 10? years, 50 years? 100 years?
Will the whole of the east unite against the whole of the west in one big war?
Why are russia and china keeping quiet? are they planning something possible.

with iran's ever growing nuclear capability, will america step in and stop them. or will they have someone else to do their dirty work for them?

with the shortage of people joining the forces, do you think we could have mandatory enrolment just like world war 1 and 2?

    For Oil?
    For Country?
    For Wealth?
    For Domination?
    For Nuclear Threat?

Before posting i would like people to take a look at this - http://www.jaysnet.com/666nuke.html

It will happen because America likes to stick it's nose into other countries business.

I can actually see this happening unfortunately, but I went for the longest time frame of 10 years.

The US alone is capable of wiping 100% of the land mass on this planet off the earth, with nukes alone. They can also do that more then 1 time, purely with their nuclear technology.

The entire east vs the US wouldn't even be a major war unless 2 major regions were involved, most of Europe and China. Europe is the only continent with realistic technology near that of the US, and China's military consists of far greater numbers. I believe its obvious that regardless of lack of training or weaponry that strength in numbers always has proven effective.

Regarding Iran and nuclear physics, the basis of understanding nowadays is that nuclear energy isn't used as an object of war, since the events in WWII. *Most* of the world would be reliant on fighting hand to hand and with simple bombing procedures, and no single country in the world except potentially China for reasons mentioned above even is remotely comparable. The US, despite being zealous within their rights (THE world superpower has every right to invade countries to investigate said countries defenses and weaponry) even they understand the concept that blowing people apart with nuclear technology is not something the current world could conceive of again, and that their mistake in WWII was purely that, a mistake. The US was unaware of the technology they had nor the power which could and did derive from the bomb, they obviously do now.

but, without the east, us economy would crash to nothing, without their importing from the east there would be food shortages and the rest of it, in the 1950's russia had 10000 + missles capable of reaching the us. and you also have to take into account nuclear radiation with nukes, everyone dies... which will be the end of human race i think. almost all countries have anti missle system, it would either blow nukes up over the sea or over europe depending which way their go x.x left or right xD. but 1 nuke can spread radiation over the whole planet just like chernobyl.

China and korea too have enough to win a war. in all, the conclusion i think would be the east would win due to their economic power and technology. they can sustain their self unlike the west which needs imports ect.

and other thing would be the technology that the us claim to have, but its not their own scientists doign all the work, they come from many other countries and it not exclusive to the us only. it';s just that the us decides to publise everything and show the rest of the world they have it and other countries keep quiet, i think they are underestimating the rest of the world.

Incorrect, the west already has methods of survival not based on natural resources for the east.

That is the entire point, if your going to lose a war to the extent that the entire east would rule the world, do you NOT think the US would turn to near global extinction to stop the east? Honestly now, we have engaged in war for oil, if our own nation and world supremacy was at stake, what do you believe the US would do? Fight fair?

Most countries don't have anti-missile systems, only some, and the US still has more weaponry and training than ALL other countries in the world, more than continents together even.

Korea does not have anywhere near the capacity required to win a war. China could win, in the event we went to war with China and only China and didn't feel as if immediate action of a missile strike would be necessary and thus underestimating the Chinese army, which won't happen. The US is obviosuly quite intelligent at finding out what every other nation in the world has in terms of capacity, strength, etc. Most of Asia is quite reliant on trades with the western hemisphere, just not to the extent the US is at the moment, but keep in mind the US also lives in a far more industrialized society with far more... gluttony, in that we indulge ourselves in far more unnecessary things than any other country in the world. We could easily cut out the extras and live on necessities and be just as self sustained as the eastern hemisphere.

You realize that nearly everything released publicly in the states the military had about 20 years before you, correct? My friend works in the high security sector at Lockheed Martin in the Rockies (its a missile / aircraft supplier to militaries, mostly US, some international, and a major military base of the states) and while he isn't able to disclose a whole lot of details due to the nature of his work, he can definitely vouch that what the public thinks the military has and doesn't even know for sure isn't even close to the real things the military has.

Your right *some* things aren't limited to the US, but in full honesty, most are. You have to remember something, when you work for the US military, you sign a waiver, stating that you essentially belong to the government, and anything you make, whether it be your pancakes from Bisquick in the morning to some heavy nuclear bomb capable of decimating an entire country belongs property of the US, this applies even on the basic level of service to the states. Yourself disclosing the information without first consulting the government is a breech of contract, and more than likely if your leaking military secrets you will land either a death penalty, or life time solitary (probably the latter) for treason. What the US has that other countries has, those people aren't working solely with the US and thus aren't even being entrusted to the secret military operations, nor are they even remotely aware of what goes on with the military, for the reason that they do deals with foreign nations.

The US is far from stupid when it comes to their international transactions, and you would be qutie stupid to underestimate the states.

I personally think that the states will never be able to take over Iraq/Iran because the harder they push the more terrorists there are to defend their country. Also the harder the US pushes the more it's troops will be scattered and the country left open for another country (i.e. China) to attack.

Why would the whole west want to fight? I'm sure enough countries wont see a good reason into fighting against what Bush would call "Terrorism"
And even if the whole west would fight against e.g. Iraq, Iran and other middle east countries, there wouldn't be a chance for the "East" purely because of the fact Dementia noticed.

Why is Russia keeping quiet? Well because Poetin knows he is being a sort of a terrorist himself, if you look at the activities in Georgia and Azerbedjian. Russia is being the terrorist there, so if Russia would set up a to big of a mouth, most likely the USA will be like, you better watch your words.. And China is keeping quiet because they're thinking with reason..

You really need to get off the Fox news network.

You realize that terrorist occurences in the US are normal, and the terrorist activity throughout the world isn't aimed at the US and has been lower since the war on terrorism has been initiated? Are you also aware that the war is no longer about terrorist activities, but about oil supremacy in the world? Why do you think gas prices have nearly doubled in the last year? Do you really even remotely think that a large portion of the military is dispatched to any 1 area at a time? Are you aware of how stocked they keep United States military bases? Are you aware that they can have fighter jets in the air and missiles dismantled before even reaching the states with under a few minutes worth of warning (and, in case you didn't know this, the reason the planes which hit on 9/11 were not taken down is because the military was unaware there was a hostile takeover in progress before it was too late)? This is the United States Military, they are the best trained forces in the world, I would, once again, recommend you don't underestimate their power.

I take it you aren't aware that the US has militants stationed in most countries in the world full time, correct? The ignorance in your post is astonishing.

Um...SupaFanga...I can see someone saying, "The US will never take over Iraq or Iran." But for someone to be so naive and ignorant to say America "won't be ABLE to" is unbelievable to me. I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and say you meant to say what I said first. But, the thing is, we DID take over Iraq and we gave it back to Iraq and allowed them to set up their own government.

actually the US's nuclear arsenal is only enough to destroy all the world's population centers a few times over, not the entire land mass.

think about it, if a megaton class nuke has a blast radius of 10 miles, it'd take) and there's a land surface of ~60,000,000 square miles it'd take 600,000 megaton class nukes. While the US alone has enough nuclear power to end life as we know it, there isn't enough to hit every square inch of land mass.

not that post apocalypse would be pleasant, there'de be a horrible dust cloud, lots of radiation contaminated rain and a ----load of death. and while the bulk of that radiation would dissipate after 30 years or so it still wouldn't be pleasant.

Take into consideration of nuclear radiation, and its not common public knowledge to know actual amounts of nuclear power the US holds, if the general public has it, all other nations does, not exactly good for the countries defenses, eh?

The amount of survivors who didn't die in the blast or via radiation poisoning would have little to no land acceptable for agriculture, nothing they could eat in contamination zones, there would be inbred families all over again, when blood is already extremely impure, etc. When you actually think about it, the effect the US alone can do in a nuclear war (and again, if the US is engaged in nuclear war, you can guarantee other nations would be too) would essentially be human extinction for the planet.
