I own Guitar Hero. I am thinking about getting Rock Band also. Now, my question here is, does the Guitar Hero guitar work with rock band. This will all be for the PS3.

Its highway robbery." By the way, if the guitar hero guitar is compatible with rock band, that means rock band and harmonix makes LESS money because of noone buying additional bass guitars.
don't know for ps3, but the xbox360 gh3 guitar works fine with rockstar for 360 (also works with the pc version of gh3 btw)

The Guitar Hero 3 controller will work with Rock Band, however the Rock Band guitar will not work with Guitar Hero.
For the xbox 360, wii and ps2 the guitar hero controller works on rockband. I would wait though for GUITAR HERO WORLD TOUR!!!! Same thing as rock band except better controllers and uploadable songs (infinite playlist). Comes out October 27th this year. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guitar_Hero_IV
On the PS3, no the GH guitar is not compatible with Rock Band, but I'm pretty sure it is for the 360. I bought a new guitar though, it's nice and works great, compatible with GH 1, 2, 3, and Rock Band, for PS2 PS3. http://store.theantcommandos.com/ProductDe...de=DRV-WL-BLKV3
Just wait for Gh: World Tour. I'm sure that it will blow rockband out of it's tracks. It includes drums, and making your own songs. I have Gh3 and rockband for ps2, (Soon getting 360), and I know exactly what game im gonna get first for my new console.
