So yeah...I've been looking around for a external hard drives for my laptop since I'm now down to 75 gigs out of 185. I'm interested in ones that are 320gigs and above. Price isn't really an issue with me (as long as it isn't above $300), but I would like to know which is a good brand (Western Digital, Simple Tech etc.). Also I wouldn't some people's personal opinions about their own external hard drives as well.

A world far beyond your imagination...
I personally Dislike Segate as I have had a problem with a 500GB HD from them before, and they asked me to pay them 2499 + Shipping so they could get my data off the HD into couple of DVD's
Which in my case is stupid to pay 10times the Money for an HD than you paid to get it repaired...

I like Western Digital, as I currently am using this one

And So far I haven't gotten any bugs, or things so far, plus it is cheap for 1TB Storage

If you are looking for a 320GB Storage here is a smooth slick one:

    (it comes in different colours)

Western Digital imo, is the best for hard drives. I really like the 1TB amd thinki you should get a 1Tb, it will be well worth it, 500GBs are around $200 at best buy I think, so why not pay $70 extra and get 500GB more, and that My Book Essential 1TB External Hard Drive is one of the best i have seen, and is best buys most popular.

Yep, that's what I have. It's password protected, and you can connect to it through ethernet or wirelessly. It's definitely worth the money IMO.
