A new MMO came out a few days ago, called NeoSteam. I don't know how big you guys are with these sort of things, but I enjoy them. I've been playing it for the past few days and it's actually pretty enjoyable, which is saying a lot considering I'm pretty fickle about the games I play. It's pretty straight forward as with most MMOs with a few aspects unique to the game. I'd say give it a shot if you have the free time for it. Here are some screenshots 'n junk. It's free to play too, by the way. http://neosteam.gamengame.com/
Yeah, it's actually really good for a free game, bugs aside. They'll eventually put in a cash shop like there is in Maple Story, but I'm pretty sure the game will remain free. It's sort of like a poor mans World of Warcraft. What's your IGN? Maybe we could party one day.
If I wasn't already a WoW-addict I would try it out =P. Sadly, nothing else compares yet mmorpg wise.
Oh no WoW def has a lead on these, but I play WoW but I def even play still Knights Online, Pirates Online, and yea...I will def give this game a try, the screenshots look pretty interesting.
WoW is a much more refined game, you get what you pay for I suppose. But for what it is, this game isn't that bad at all.
Just curious before I get it on my computer....you said it had some unique aspects to the game. Care to explain?
Wow, his is actually a great looking free game, its about like this game i Used to play called FLYFF, or Fly For Fun.
The game actually has a few unique aspects, first of which being the races. It has all the races you'd expect (The strong guy, the fast guy, the magic user, etc) But also adds a few more races (A forge race, and two hybrid races) The upgrade system is like that most games, where you can risk your weapon and armor by using items to make them stronger, but the reformation system adds another dimension to that by allowing users to completely reform an item to give it new abilities and stats. Socketed weapons and armor can be combined with Core Machines to give the user new abilities such as buffs and attacks that they can't get on their own. They run off of Neo Steam; sort of like another MP bar except it's used when using Core machines, Steam Vehicles, and a few other aspects of the game. Theres a lot of other stuff that I could get into, but you should probably play for yourself to discover them This is the first international installment of the game and is realitivley new (about a month or so) so there is even more stuff being added to the game from the overseas versions (Guild vs. Guild, new areas, etc)
I'm a huge fan of MMORPG's. I've tried plenty of P2P ones, and F2P ones. This looks like a decent game. I might try it.
If any of you guys do end up playing, post your IGNs so I can friend you or something. I have characters on both sides.
Saw this game a few days ago.. Looks great. May consider playing it.. Haven't played any games in a while
