This vexel took me many hours. I don't think I'll be vectoring plain lineart for a while until I get more practice, because this was REALLY hard. C&C please! I plan on using this for my website. Maybe in the banner, the background, the splash page, I don't know. -Vexeled in PhotoShop- Click Here! ~TonicX57
I wouldn't use it for anything, just treat it as an experiment or crop the top half and use the top half. It's alright though, gradually you'll improve (if you really want to). -
Well yeah, I wouldn't leave it cut off like that if I were to use it. And my drawing skills limit me to how much I can improve, so I'll mostly be vexeling photographs or game characters and such. Thanks, TonicX57
Vector = Purely solid shapes. (based on shape layers.) Vexel = Purely pixel based image. (based on raster layers.) Which means this is a vexel. -
This is what a vector looks like. This is what a vexel looks like. Vexel. If this were a vexel, his shading would have layers upon layers to give it more dimension. And like your definition said, solid shapes make a vector...all the shapes in here are solid.
Your examples are right, however, your statement is wrong. This is a Vexel. Feel like to PM me if you still don't understand, I'd rather not spam Tonic's thread. -
