Metal Gear Solid(1) was decent Metal Gear Solid 2 was bad (just finished playing it) Metal Gear Solid 3 was good Metal Gear Solid 4 is pretty damn awesome. But it better have been because MGS2 is a horrible game, and MGS3 still didn't make it up to me. And I still don't get why people love Hideo Kojima like he's gonna get up and felate everyone who buys his game. I'd say he's a decent game designer, but he's a bad writer/director (he relies more on in-game movies than on the actual game to push the game along) So I'm glad that he had a lot of help on this one, because without it, the game would probably have ended up being a 12 hour movie with moving bits in between.
I didn't think MGS2 was all the bad, the only reason it sucked was because Raiden was a pansy...but now he's awesome so it's ok. Never finished 1 Played through 2 Never finished 3 Still playing 4, and loving it.
I'm still at the beginning, but so far so good. I just love what you can do, I have asked my self questions like "How did that guy get there?" and stuff like that. Never acually played previous MGS's. I tryed the first one, but I stopped ---
i am sorry to say but MGS2 is rated the best story and gameplay game for the longest it was amazing just like all the others but MGS4 is amazing but there all amazing love the game best game of the year
in MGS4 the bit when you first see Raiden in his ninja gear was great, then once you move further on theres the bike sequence and after than theres a [color=#000000;background:#000000]showdown movie against liquid(ocelot) which is bloody awesome and a bit long but worth it, also snake has a big of a change too and omg big boss and big mama.[/color] The hottest Beauty and the Beast unit member so far is deffo laughing octopuss imo, cant wait for the next boss. This is by far the best game ive played in a long time(well since Uncharted) and its way better than GTA IV.
no game is a 10/10. that makes the assumption that this game is as good as a game can possibly be, which is just logically impossible...
well the revewrs said if they could give MGS4 a 11 they would it is the perfect game read the reveiws man by far the best game to date very orignal way to tell the story it is fantastic
Beat the game about one hour ago too Played for about 13 hours straight. Game was awsome, even if it felt like I only played for 4 hours, and watched cutscenes the rest. It was still amazing, story was really good.
ok. first, please use punctuation. second, i have read the reviews and i maintain that nothing is perfect. everything can be improved in some way. unless you're saying there is some sort of mystical game with perfect plot, perfect gameplay, perfect sound design, etc etc, and this is that game, MGS4 is not a 10/10. A 10/10 implies no room for improvement. at the most basic level...im sure at some point in the near future, the graphics of MGS4 will look primitive. in that sense, it could, in theory, be improved. sure its one of the best games we've seen in a really long while, but in a world of constantly and rapidly improving technology, nothing can really ever "fill" an objective scale (which an "out of ten" scale is).
