All made by hand...a friend of mine (online clan) had a advanced planet tut, I followed somewhat to the letter a starfield tut how many out of 5? sorry, I followed a rings tut as well
Oh? The stars look like a lot of ... dots. They're not very realistic. The ring is... (sorry)... brutal. It's not uniform like you'd normally think a ring is, is looks like it curves into the planet, which could actually be a cool effect, but yours obviously looks like a mistake. You can also see it poorly erased on the planet, so it doesn't have the depth, it looks like it could be some sort of random ring floating in front of the planet. Yet the planet brushing sometimes goes overtop of it, too... So it's just not great. The brushing on the planet looks really unnatural, I don't even know what all those little scratching white things are supposed to be. It also looks like you didn't finish the other planet (or moon) in the distance.
Ya im sorry but this isn't to hot for me, your main planet, just looks like you used a circular marquee and put a bunch of brusehs in it then used the sphere distortion. Stars are meh, and remind me of static id see on a t.v. your other planet as mentioned looks unfinished but still has that brushed feeling in it. Also you got that random clump of stars thats brighter than the rest at the top. You need to distribute that brightness out more randomly, and not have it clumped together like that. You also have big emptyish block spots in the middle of the stars. Its like you see stars, stars, star,s stars, then BLACK SPOT. So suggestion would be make fewer stars, have brightness and such be more spaced out and random but advice i could give is if your not in to heavily populated area or if you can actually see the sky. Then glance up and get a feel for it (thats as far as stars spacing and brightness goes) outa 5 id have to say 1.8/5 sry mate, just a lot that could be improved.
