Okay well i looked at how many people are online, and i saw that there are usually like 130+ Guests,
is there anything you can do so that they have to register and log in instead? Maybe hide the forums for guests.

Most people just come here to get renders or look at tutorials. Thats why we have so many guests.

Thats why i think we should hide the forums. So they have to register or log in.

I don't see how that would increase acivity :)
Then we would just have more members online, but not more members posting per sé.

Yeah imo lurkers are always going to be lurkers, either they will sign up and not post, or just leave all together. Neither is any better than what is happening now, so why change it?

all it will do is raise the number of registered users here. if you find that as a good thing then i guess its better, but they still wont post.

true..but rather than them taking stuff with out giving back at least registering would be better...

or maybe a 10 post count or something to see the tutorial or render section. I'm just trying to give ideas that will help out the community.

Well, I'm guessing here (only guessing) that it got changed to public some time ago when there still were the prmium tuts. If I'm not mistaken, those were sent to pixel2life then.
And when submitting to P2L, the tut of course needs to be visible for public. That's one reason I can come up for :)

But like I also said before, there's no point in changing it because then they simply register without posting, taking up useless space on the Db ^^

That could work out but then you can have the spammer problem where people do useless things to gain posts. (like posting the same message in 10 render topics).

Basically you can't force people into anything. If they want to be active, they will :) But if you force them, they'll do stupid things to gain the needed amount of posts and then faint away anyhow :)
