Did you really have that hard of a time understanding them? It seemed like just another accent to me... I guess some people are better at understanding accents than others. Unless... maybe most people just don't put in enough attention into things anymore?
That's a load of bull. It's just a publicity stunt to get their subscribers list up higher. We already pay for the internet. So why would all the companies band together to make it more pricey? Because that'd lead to more profit sharing either way. And it'd lead to conflict. So even if it was to happen, it wouldn't last long. For one people would boycott it and secondly, internal problems with said company would force them to disband. Plus, it'd also be a monopoly of the internet. And monopoly is a crime isn't it?
Just because they all turn up the rates doesn't make it a monopoly. If they all merge into one company, then they're a monopoly. Think of it this way: If Company A reduces prices, then Company B will have to reduce them as well to keep it self in business.
