they cost $10-20 everywhere and all are more responsive than what was used on the SNES and don't hurt your hands after a few hours.

Consoles usually have a better library of games for me. The only gaming I use my laptop for is for older ROMS that are hard to find online.

Consoles have better all around games. PC's are mainly RTS, FPS, or MMO. Also, to play newer games, you would have to update your PC with the latest hardware and such. Consoles don't need any upgrading so I'm fine with that.

I LOVE THE KEYBOARD AND MOUSE.

I really hate the controllers as there's no customizable features at all, and I just hate the feel of them.

Another thing, PC gaming is probably for smarter people who know more about things than an average joe would. Also who says you have to run the game maxed out with 16qc AA and 8x Filtering on 1920x1200?

I enjoyed playing TF2 on my 3 year old pc w/ an ATI x1800 xl and a single core AMD Athlon on medium. Though framerates were kinda choppy at sometimes I still had a great time. World of Warcraft runs well beyond playable, and same with CS:S run fine most of the time.

One last thing, I've had a lotta problems getting a stupid disk error w/ 360's or a PS2, while on the PC I really had no problem at all installing games, execpt when my hard drive was going bad. It's really not that hard to upgrade your pc, just get a midrange card and you will be fine. Even now the 8800 gt which is priced around $180US is more powerful than the cell processor in the PS3.

But another thing that really grinds my ----. Most people who play 360 do the same things, listen to the same music, do the same oO/xX/ll things in their gamertags.

For a good computer that can run all those good games like Crysis, Far Cry 2, and Bioshock for the best graphics; gonna have to hock up at least $900 (estimate). Probably even more.

    Yeah, $900 for a computer. $350 to $500 for a next-gen console.

    Yeah.

I still love my computer. But it needs an update in hardware, which will cost at least $300 to $500 bucks.

Why can't you just like both?
PCs: BF2 (BF:BC doesn't have the BF "feel" to it IMO), RTS, MMO, FPS
    Consoles: Action/Adventure, FPS, Sports, Racing.

Those games will run fine, JUST DON'T MAX OUT THE AA, you can just spend a decent amount like $300.00 on a videocard and $130 for a psu upgrade, for a 8800 GTX [or even go with something cheaper like a 8800 gts 512] for an example plus a 750 watt psu. You should be able to run any game fine, execpt crysis which can't be maxed out unless you're on the monster rigs [ie: 9800gx2 quad-sli w/ qx9650's].

It might require a bit of work, but overall it isn't that hard if you do your research. Bioshock on a 22" runs fine, on a 8800 gts maxed out fully.

for bioshock, it's basically a 3 year old computer + $90 graphics card and maybe $30 worth of RAM

for crysis, 720p and very high settings albeit no AA... basically the same.

so realistically around $500 if you're starting from scratch, not counting software costs.
