    i think the 8800GTX still leads, but i''m not sure

    the best bang/$ card...

    depends on if you can find anything on sale. I saw an 8800GTS 320mb go for $82 shipped a while back.

    otherwise look at 8800GS, 9600GSO, 8800gt 256mb, 9600GT. they all offer about the same level of performance. then get whichever is cheapest.
