I'm going to be getting a 360 sometime in the next couple of weeks and I just want to know if there's any real advantage to getting an Elite as opposed to the [P]ro. I know the Elite comes with a bigger HD but beyond that, is there anything else that makes the Elite a better option?

XD ok ok sam funny and all because I am am on the same page but he's asking a question and therefore we should answer it the best we can

I wouldn't spend the extra cash on the elite because I am a jew lol but the elite does offer a lower failure rate *red ring of death -uncurable-* and a few other things but if your just looking to play games just buy the cheaper one

Get the PeRO (Persian accent) rather than the elite if you are not a hard core gamer. The extra hard drive capacity is good if you store lots of movies, music, game files, etc.

Personally, I didn't buy the elite because I can stream movies, music, and pictures from my network. I don't have to store it on my hard drive.

But I do have a black elite controller with my white xbox 360 though =D

well i would go with elite shore its more expensive but it has a much lower faliure rate and the The RROD warranty is 3 years that applys for all three 360 aslong as it has the red rings also the black controllers get less dirty but if you don`t care about this stuff then go for the ---

Elite if you want the 120gb, hdmi cable, and black console & controller.
p|2o if you aren't gonna use the 120gb space and white console & controller.

Elite if you have a 1080P/1080i HDMI TV, and you really want to see the detail in the games you play.

Get the [P]ro if you just want to play games, and listen to music, etc.

only real difference is the harddrive.

    save the $100.

later revisions use the same output.

I work in a retail store and one of my coworkers who works in electronics basically said that the only real difference is now price. it's cheape for M$ to use the same base for every system as opposed to differentiating things more.

Ok, so based on all of this I think it's most likely I'm going to get the [p]ro but is there a difference between the warranties that come with both? Basically, would I be fine with whatever warranty comes with the system or is there another (additional) one that would be offered at the store (I'll be buying it at Gamestop) that I should get.

I had my 360 for over 2 years now. I never had the RROD. But just to be sure, go with the elite version if you don't want to send it in for repairs.
