lolz, this was made via a tutorial though - a tutorial by Cliche. Stilllll, as long as you show some imagination, and all your work isn't solid tutorial work, you can still get into AG. n_n My 'votes' still stand.

Russ i would say a yes i like your style and although i dont like number 4 ,your lps also lack but i think you have great potential if you develop the style you used in 1 and 2
actually i used the final result of cliche's tut (i didnt even read the tut) and used it as a reference (aka tried to make it)
`R U S S - I believe you have potential as well, but right now you still need more practice. You're tags lack correct depth, contrast, flow, and "not" messiness . And you need to work on your LPs. So my vote is a no. Keep practicing keep creating new styles, "read some original tuts" and use IMAGINATION AND ORIGINALITY . @EBK - lol I also think theres no problem with using tuts, but he did use originality with the tut =/. If there was no tut, it would be an IDEA rip...you get what i mean? But just like Sexbox said, that is really the only one that i think he exactly fallowed the tut.
RUSS: As said already, your Large Pieces lack creativity and imagination, also not a whole bunch going on in them either. The only tags that actually leap out to me are the first two, they have good depth and nice composition. My vote for now will be 50 / 50, since you do have potential but lack some crucial components. 1. Creativity X 2. Imagination 3. Ability to create large pieces as well as signatures X 4. Hey zainu you mind if I ask what you mean by maturity if you are talking about age and my ways of thinking I am 22 so I am pretty mature on that part and if it is what I use in my sigs such as anime, and cartoons I have done alot of other things besides cartoons and anime I Just use cartoons and anime because it is alot easier to use and they give better effects. And for the Lp's I will try and do some more later tonight I usually don't do that many mainly because when my comp was in bad shape it would really lag during one so I never did any of them but since it crashed last friday and I restored the complete thing its running alot better now.
