Id never played a *real* PC game in my life. -When i picked up half life2, it felt god-awfully natural, in comparrison to a console controller. It feels great.
You know who else didn't care what people thought and told them to gtfo, the Nazis did, they told the jews to get the ------ out and ended up killing millions of them, are you a nazi? Console Game Graphics are and always will be inferior to computer games. If you compare the power of a console to a decent gaming graphics card, its not even close. All these graphic cards will out preform an xbox ps3 and wii combined... I see you agree with being a Nazi... P.S. Halo 3 sucks Gears of War sucks GTA 4 sucks God of War sucks Rock Band sucks Guitar Hero sucks Call of Duty 4 sucks Dead or Alive 4 sucks Socom Navy Seals sucks Assassins Creed sucks Prince of Persia sucks BioShock sucks Resistance: Fall of Man sucks All Maden and Sports games suck and last but not least all games that require Xbox live suck
Halo 3 sucks yes it does Gears of War sucks Gow is the best 360 game GTA 4 sucks jesus says this rocks God of War sucks Kratos would kick ur ass Rock Band sucks idk havent played Guitar Hero sucks idk havent played Call of Duty 4 sucks gtfo Dead or Alive 4 sucks yes it does Socom Navy Seals sucks its ok not brilliant Assassins Creed sucks a little Prince of Persia sucks rules BioShock sucks idk - but how come its getting a movie? Resistance: Fall of Man sucks one of the best ps3 games All Maden and Sports games suck madden, nba yes the rest are great and last but not least all games that require Xbox live suck w00t PS3 rules sorry but console gaming is way better than playing a game on a pc, and ive played tons of games offline and online on my pc but since the PS3 came out i havent played many games on my pc, and for that reason they have been deleted off my system. But obviously by saying this you must be some 12 year old whos jealous of people having these games while you play on your pc and sega saturn?
after the costs of games are concerned and you sell off old hardware it usually ends up being about the same no matter which platform you go for. cheaper PC sid eif you buy more games, cheaper console side if you get fewer but uslly about the same considering online fees, cost of extra content etc. everyone here knows my choice. I'll say that PC side the hardware is superior in most every way... but console side there is just a whole level of optimization PC games don't get. what traditionally made PC gaming the stand out was the sheer degree of hardware superiority. Consoles were at launch 1 or 2 years behind a standard gaming PC(think sega saturn vs. SNES as far as performance goes) and it was really visible when you compared the quality of PC games to console games. Guess what, hardware stagnated the last few years, you cna show someone Bioshock on the 360 and you can show them bioshock on the PC. it'll look and play better PC side, but the diference isn't mind blowing. Sure c2d is great and the 8800s are awesome. but they're only around twice as fast as what the consoles are using. And when really good optimizing can make a game as much as 3 times faster(usually it's a fair deal off from that but still) it just shows. will say though come next month it'll be a somewhat different story, ATi and nVidia are launching their next generation graphics chipsets which will basically double the performance of what we already have. SHould be a good fight and I'm looking forward to the leap in technology. Think crysis maxed out with a single card.
Look at it this way...would you rather spend $3,000+ on a pc powerful enough to play Call of Duty 4 smoothly or would you rather just spend $200 - $300 on a 360 to play the same game just as smoothly?
Actually my computer is only $1,000 and it runs COD4 pretty smoothly, not the BEST graphics and there is a small amount of lag depending on the size of the server...
then you chose bad parts(or bought your stuff a while back) as I've seen video cards which will max it go for around $80. gaming - 70% video card, 30% CPU it's mroe like $600 cheep case - $30 dvd drive - $30 8800GTS 320 on sale fr $80 e2180 OCed to 3GHz $70 cheap motherboard $70 2GB RAM $25ish 320GB harddrive $70ish mouse $30-40 keyboard $10 total - 425 not counting software() and unlike the 360 you can do other things with it and the failure rate is a bit lower and unlike the 360 most things have a 5yr or lifetime warranty as opposed to a 3 year warranty. or for a higher end system cheep case - $30 dvd drive - $30 8800GT 512mb $140 e7200 OCed to 3.6GHz $120 heatsink $40 cheap motherboard $70 2GB RAM $25ish 640GB harddrive $100ish mouse $50 keyboard $20 total - $625 FYI that cheaper setup actually plays it more smoothly and at higher resolutions/settings than the 360. the highend one will basically wipe the floor compared to the 360 if you're comparing performance at 720p(which the 360 cannot do, it technically runs at 640p and is "upscaled" to 1080p which basically looks like crap. If I ran crysis at 640p I'd be getting around 60-100FPS. FYI most monitors and TVs do upscaling as well so ehh still looks blurry.) and unlike the 360 it'll do 1080p that's still a bit more expensive though and I'll give you that. but by the time you've bought 20 games(assuming $15 cheaper on average) and you pay for XBL... well guess which setup is cheaper. Then again most people don't buy 20 games, for most it's probably like 10. heck my current gaming library is around 10 modern games(CSS HL2 DODS etc aren't counted since they're somewhat outdated) ET quake wars, crysis, cnc3, cnc3tw, and some others again it is a hassle for those who have no technical knowledge. if you have no idea WTF you're talking about, assembling a computer like the people in malaysia who are paid a dollar a day is probably beyond your capacity and will continue to be until you learn a bit about technology in general you only pay $3000 if you're either really rich or really stupid. (excluding peripherals like HD TV/monitor, stereo system etc. but those cost the same console side anyway so that's somewhat moot) and the one thing consoles really have going for them... exclusives. quite frankly more NEW games are being made console side than PC side. and you know what I can't counter that it's a fact. also if anyone finds what I'm saying to be inaccurate, please do correct me I try to be as accurate as possible but I know I fall short on occasion.
Well apart from everything xlink says which I agree with I really wish I could get a 360 for that low.In the UK that would be about £100-150 but currently: Elite: £350 ($700) Full: £275 ($550) Core: £180-220 ($360+) And lets face it the Core just incurs further costs down the line so it can pretty much be relegated to the redundancy pile. I'm not saying you can't get them cheaper, but on average that's the price I'm finding them (in fact on average its more because most of the stores around me only sell bundle packs these days and jack up the price). And this doesn't take into account the cost of the game and needed extras like Xbox Live for COD4 multiplayer. Well seeing as I'm upgrading my PC for around £200 so that it runs COD4 very smoothly I know which route I'll be using. And my PC didn't cost a fortune four years ago when I bought it orginally, unlike the first Xbox which came out around then. Point being that although I'm upgrading still saves me money being a PC gamer and not having to buy the whole new console.
from what I understand, the latest revisions of the full are more or less the same as the elite excluding harddrive capacity and getting the elite is somewhat pointless. at least state side. also $300 is what the 360s are going for stateside last time I checked. hardware AND consoles are cheaper over here. but aparently consoles are MUCH cheaper here.
Oh I knew they were cheaper state side I was just saying that argument doesn't hold up over in the UK
