    Ok
    So I upgraded ... reformatted and got a fresh copy of Vista Home Premium Installed on my Fujitsu Laptop

    Intel Dual 2 Core 1.66Ghz
    2GB RAM
    Ati-Radeon x1400 Graphics (i know it is old...)
    Plenty of Empty Space on my HD ...around 120GB out of 160GB

    ...
    PS takes such a long ass time to open up
    about 1 minute ++++
    And to open up a 43kb .gif sprite it took a good 30 - 40 seconds
    and my .psd files...more than a minute to open

    PLUS every time I do something like smudge, brush, erase, pen tool, or paste a c4d render and try to move it...it freezes for about 15 seconds...

    It is really slow and i cannot do anything...on my computer...
    well in PS I cant do anything

    I have tons to do, a project for a friend, and personal stuff..

    HELP ME!? :mellow:

    I've been using CS3 on Vista for over 6 months now and this has never happened to me. I think there are too many processes running in the background. For starters download any startup management software and try to limit the softwares running at startup.

    You can also try msconfig command in run.

    OEM's dont supply you with enough ram in vista which is where much of the "OMG TOO SLOW! RESOURCE WHORE!!" comments come from, anything over 2gb should be fine.
