As a final project in web design class I've decided to write and code a website called "TheFailBox." It will be a center for all things fail, but what I want an opinion on is the logo I've created for it. C&C please, don't hesitate to get specific.
Nice logo. I like how you added those lighting lines to your arrow BUT, where's the general lighting on the arrow? Like this, it makes it look a bit weird, so I'd render some lighting effects on the arrow layer through that filter. Think that will make it look more realistic. You can do the same to the box, that will make the lid look less flat too
For a general logo, its quite nice. But for the site that you are going to make, in my opinion this doesn't look like it has any resemblance to the site that you will be making (Centered around all fail things). Just a suggestion mate, but the logo itself is a fine artwork.
you should show this in a smaller resolution so we can critique on what it will look like in use. right now we're getting too much detail and when you resize you might lose those details. also: i agree with zohair, if anything the lid to the box should be closed. it looks like it's avoiding the box, aka, think outside of the box, and other fun things to say. i mean the logo works, but i think it would be better if the lid was closed and there was effects of it hitting the lid.
would be nice to see a smaller version, but nice logo anyway I agree with Sanity Penguin on the arrow
I like it! But I'm not sure what that line on the top of the box down the middle is. And the arrow doesn't seem to have the lighting like the box does, so it looks flat and fake. It should have some 3D feel look and characteristic to it, but right now it has neither the lightning nor the dimension to it like the box does. However, what I say is minor and it'd look good even if you didn't do what I said. =D
