    Alright I need help now
I am ready to apart with my old Dell Desktop :D

I have a really tight Budget
$900 - $1000 USD... I know not enough but all I can use since parents wont allow to spend anymore

    What I am looking for?
Well someone to give me a decent computer that can play the current and future games without any hesitation, and is also compatible for some upgrades in the future!

I would like if all the parts were ordered from Newegg since I am a Newegg Junkie and buy my Comp crap from there!

Motherboard: Decent one which I can use to upgrade my internal parts..RAM..GPU etc etc in future
Processor: ... would be nice if it was Q6600 at 2.4Ghz from newegg is about 200
GPU: ... an 8800 GT from Newegg is about 240 so that works
RAM: 2GB is fine since I will be running XP Professionall
HD: something like the raptor is fine...they are around 160 or so
    Cool Case
    Monitor
    Keyboard
    Mouse
    Cooling System
    DVD/CD Drive
    Ethernet ... ports and Modem

    And everything else in between
Think you guys can help me get a good gaming rig in under 1k?
    :D

PS: all parts from newegg :D :D :D

    Thanks
    -Zain

EDIT: forgot to add PSU (power Supply)

card - the 1GB model doesn't offer any real advantage over the 512mb model. on average there is around a 0% performance gain. in some cases it's worse since there is extra latency in the large RAM chips.

add that up. I'm lazy and I have work in 20 mins and need to go.

also right now the only raptor(it might have 8ms latency but it only has 70mb/s read speed compared to newer drives which tend to have 85-100mb/s read and around 13ms latency. the best case scenarios for the raptor just don't help enough to compensate for the worse case scenarios) worth considering is the $300 velociraptor and your build doesn't have the budget for it.

no ethernet cards required on PCs since say 2001. they've been built into the boards.

    That comes up to $670.93
And since all those parts add up nicely i get around 300 for other stuff

Oh you forgot the RAM :(

    But yeah Thanks
Will that be all that I will be needing?

I think that you should get another card. You should get the new G92.

Yes it is quite a bit better. Benchmarks:
    Code:
    http://www.tweaktown.com/articles/1237/3/nvidia_g92_overclocked_gt_vs_gts_512/index.html
    For a psu get this:

    Code:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139005
You should never go cheap on the psu cause it can cause lots of troubles later.

    Ram:
    [codehttp://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820220144][/code]

Dont get generic ram. Its not very expensive and will also cause trouble later.

    Heres a benchmark:

The new G92 is quite a bit more powerful than the old gts.
