I would like if all the parts were ordered from Newegg since I am a Newegg Junkie and buy my Comp crap from there! Motherboard: Decent one which I can use to upgrade my internal parts..RAM..GPU etc etc in future Processor: ... would be nice if it was Q6600 at 2.4Ghz from newegg is about 200 GPU: ... an 8800 GT from Newegg is about 240 so that works RAM: 2GB is fine since I will be running XP Professionall HD: something like the raptor is fine...they are around 160 or so Cool Case Monitor Keyboard Mouse Cooling System DVD/CD Drive Ethernet ... ports and Modem And everything else in between Think you guys can help me get a good gaming rig in under 1k? PS: all parts from newegg Thanks -Zain EDIT: forgot to add PSU (power Supply)
I found some parts online but dont know if they go together Parts: CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16819115017 GPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16814130352 HD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16822136011 Monitor: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16824112007 Keyboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16823114005 Mouse: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16826153017 Ethernet Card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16833166002 So ... I know I can get better deals but I dunno Do help though becuase so far this is already over 1k -Z
CPU http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16819115017 board http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16813128084 card - the 1GB model doesn't offer any real advantage over the 512mb model. on average there is around a 0% performance gain. in some cases it's worse since there is extra latency in the large RAM chips. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16814121224 drive http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16822136218 PSU http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16817256032 case http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16811119106 burner http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16827106263 RAM http://images10.newegg.com/uploadfilesforn...Jun108tl24c.pdf add that up. I'm lazy and I have work in 20 mins and need to go. also right now the only raptor(it might have 8ms latency but it only has 70mb/s read speed compared to newer drives which tend to have 85-100mb/s read and around 13ms latency. the best case scenarios for the raptor just don't help enough to compensate for the worse case scenarios) worth considering is the $300 velociraptor and your build doesn't have the budget for it. no ethernet cards required on PCs since say 2001. they've been built into the boards.
That comes up to $670.93 And since all those parts add up nicely i get around 300 for other stuff Oh you forgot the RAM But yeah Thanks Will that be all that I will be needing? -Z
I think that you should get another card. You should get the new G92. Code: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130325
CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16819115018 RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16820144157 Motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16813128337 PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16817153052 GFX: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16814127329 Monitor: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16824001268 HDD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16822148317 keyboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16823109156 Mouse: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16826105026 total price: $1001
Yes it is quite a bit better. Benchmarks: Code: http://www.tweaktown.com/articles/1237/3/nvidia_g92_overclocked_gt_vs_gts_512/index.html For a psu get this: Code: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139005 You should never go cheap on the psu cause it can cause lots of troubles later.
Ram: [codehttp://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820220144][/code] Dont get generic ram. Its not very expensive and will also cause trouble later.
So far then according to what you said: CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16819115017 214.99 PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16817139005 109.99 - 20.00 MIR Mobo: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16813128084 74.99 GPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16814150253 192.99 CD/DVD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16827106263 23.99 HD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16822136218 99.99 RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16820148076 65.99 - 40.00 MIR Monitor: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16824112007 189.99 Keyboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16823114005 79.99 Mouse: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16826153017 74.99 I would like the keep the moust and keyboard but what else can I cut back on??? Z
You can cut back on the HDD get a 250Gig. Code: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136055
