    Instead of doing Express

    Do custom updates
and leave your computer untilll it updates!

    Also what version you running?
Ultimate? Home Premium? Enterprise? Home Basic?

Because there are tweaks to make your computer recognize the 4GB after the update

He meant Repair..and yes I do know about BSOD because I have gotten it in Vista and XP on my Desktop tons of times :P
    and fixed it

Mostly they are drivers not configured or up to date for vista

    Oh and also
    Reclusion
See if your drivers are up to date, meaning they all support vista
Go to Orb - Control Panel - Device Manager
and see if they all are up to date :)

Also I will look up something ... but for now see if you shut down your computer and then put in the 2GB again and see if it works ..
(I am not saying it will work but try to see it AFTER you update all your drivers and Devices on your computer so that they are Vista Friendly!)

    Try taht

    As far as I know
just update your computer up to date ... It might take a couple of restarts ... mine updated for a while so yeah

Also Do make sure that you have the latest updates for your drivers and their software is compatible with Vista :)

    Eh?

Hope it helps and gets you 4GB

    You could try that
but most likely most of the rams out there are compatible with x64 Vista

What RAM are you using Reclusion?

    4 x 1GB or 2 x 2GB
    ? and what manufacture?

You could try memtest which will not hurt but still
it should work as far as I see it
