Well it has been one year and five months since I have had my computer
    Laptop!
It is a Fujitsu 17" laptop

Even some of my friends who have a 17" and a slower Processor than mine
have more apps on them and their computer beats the ---- out of mine...

    Specs:

I only have a couple of Programs Installed on this Computer:

Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 (kind of use it)
    Adobe Illustrator CS3
    Adobe Photoshop CS3
    Adobe Bridge CS3
    Adobe Extended Toolkit2
    Adobe Extensions Manager CS3
    Avast AntiVirus
    Alcohol 120%
    Mozilla Firefox
    Microsoft 2007 Word
    Crap Cleaner
    Warcraft III TFT ROC
    Trillian
    Daemon Tools
    Filezilla
    LimeWire
    VLC Media Player
    Adobe Reader
    Adobe Photoshop Elements
    Divx
    Quicktime
    Winamp

I dont know what else this computer has but those are all the programs on it
And some additional programs from Fujitsu itself..
    Catalyst Control Center
    ABBYY Fine Reader 6.0 Sprint
    Fujitsu Display Manager
    Fujitsu Driver Update
    Windows Digital Media Enhancements
    Intel ProSet Wireless
    LifeBook Application Panel
and a couple more since i am tired of writing :P

So the problem is that it is running Windows XP Service Pack 3 (downloaded and installed earlier today)
Even before the SP3 was installed the computer had the problem of being REALLY REALLY SLOW
It would take about 2-3 Minutes...to start...
I dont know why but it was the same thing when I had Vista on this computer

Most Computers running XP SP3 are suppose to start within 15-25 Seconds...
Why does mine start so late?

Oh and when I go to the task manager...I see that only ~460 MB RAM Used.. out of 2048MB
and the CPU Usage is low ~ 20 and below %
But the PROCESSORS running go from 60-75...even though VISTA does not have that many..

Also My Brother has a Dell and does not have all these Fujitsu Devices
But his computer opens up faster than mine ... less than 20 seconds or 15...
    O_O
And my computer takes time to shutdown as well

It also has a problem of taking about 20seconds to start firefox when i first start the computer...as I remember before it started firefox in less than 1 second...

    So..without any further ado
Can someone help me get my computer in a good shape?

    -Zain :D

EDIT: Just incase you guys wanted to see my startup processes

Turn off all start up things that are not connected to the os, do a virus scan, defrag your comp, i see you have lime wire so i would have to guess that you downloaded something from there and got a virus.

CCC is from ATI not Fujitsu

    Which startup services to cancel?
I posted a shot of them in the bottom of my post and here again
    http://www.imgtags.com/uploads/141412.png

Also I did a VirusScan with Avast and found nothing
I defrag and clean my computer almost all the time I am idle

From Limewire I always download songs (ONLY) and I run a Avast Scan before I open them or so
    ...

oh yeah I forgot about that ATI :)

dont use third party start up monitors
start > run > msconfig > startup tab
screenshot that one ( make sure to completly stretch out the name field)

Here are the Start Up Processes

I just unchecked a bunch of them since I found out on Google what they were and if they were needed or not

I haven't restarted my computer after un-checking them so double check :D ...

Xelink: I would re-install Windows in less than an hour
but I would have to backup a whole lot of Sh-T and Then Re-install those programs again...

Ok I just restarted my computer after those processors thing in MsConfig
And now my processors went down from 72 - 46 currently (Counting FF)

I still have some processors that are just not needed
My bro is running same comp and he only got about 26-30 or so

My RAM USage went down from 460 to 380MB
    ...
The speed didn't change a bit for turn on and shutdown

Well I clean my Registry daily and so far it backs up everything but nothing seemswrong in there

    I could reformat..

The Quick Reformat should work right?

Then I would have to re-install all the updates...SP2 and SP3...
Might take a while then eh???
