    Hi everybody,

I have an old computer and he's going very slow.
I was wondering if i could make him go faster but without buying anything for it because in a month or 2 i'm buying a new pc.

Is there any way for making him go faster?
change some settings, download a program, ...

    anything?

    thx in advance

I dont think there is a way. The only way i know is buying a new and better RAM and Video Card.

Or if your talking bout internet then you get a faster connection.
Other than that dont think there is a way.

Your gonna have to wait :)

    read pinned thread...

    show specs.

FYI 2GB RAM is $30... if general use is your goal you might not even need a new computer just a relatively mintor upgrade

or maybe you just need to reinstall windows, if you have like 512MB ram it should be enough for general use.. you can always make it faster though :P

Old trick I picked up... If it's old chances are dust in your fans built up, and you'd be suprised how much getting an empty deoderant can and spraying into the fan to dislodge dust might work.

Sometimes when my computer becomes slower than usual, I wipe the C drive and put in an old backup. That helps a lot, as crappy old programs that noone uses aren't there, disk space is freed etc.
