I'm starting to do some webpage design contests, and I think I've got a lot of it down, but I had a question about slicing the images up in photoshop at the end. I have mock text up on the page right now. When I go to slice it, should I hide that layer so it doesn't show up on the button? Or is there a way that you can leave the mock text up, but it still allows the "buyer" to edit it?

    Thanks for the help :)

What you slice, you get. So hide the text layer and then slice it.
When then opening it up in dremaweaver, you need to turn those kind of images into background images, that will allow you to type on it.
But if you slice it with the text still visible, that will be the image part you get, and you or anyone else won't be able to get rid of it without redesigning that part ;)

And a tip with slicing and typing: Code it, code every picture to where it belongs. Don't just click and drag.

A little self experience with a crap website with that. :P

That's what I thought, but I had to be sure incase I won any contests :P

Fortunately I'm not required to code it. I'm not even sure if I have to slice it, but one contest holder asked for theirs to be sliced in the final.

    Thanks you two :)
