what video card? that's an integrated solution. no card about it, it's just a single chip.

basically new card = world of improvement

give a budget and I'll make recommendations around it.

It's definitely the card then, I have 1GB and I thought it was my RAM problem, maybe set the visual settings lower?

due to the many strenuous shaders in tf2 you do need a pretty decent vidya card, hell I lagged when playing it on low settings with a 7600. Even though source is a finely tuned machine, you really do need a decent setup to play OB games without gfx lag. you can pick up a G92 8800GTS now for around £120, you should go for something around that for a halfdecent, half cheap card.

Run the game in "-dxlevel 8" using your "Launch options...", right click TF2 in your games list, click Properties, and Set Launch options. Enter "-dxlevel 8" without quotations and click "Ok", you can then close properties aswell. The game will run in DirectX 8, get the graphical settings how you want then close the game, I suggest, using your card, go for minimum settings on everything, after closing the game, go back to "Set Launch options" and remove the "-dxlevel 8". Ok that and see how it runs? If your card is already at DirectX 8 and you still get lag, buy a new one, if you dont want to pay much I suggest getting:

    For only £50 (roughly $100).

I'd say it's the graphics card too, my friend's 7600gt had trouble on medium settings at 1024x768
