Should it be boycotted or shouldn't it? I think it shouldn't because the athletics worked their asses off to be at the olympics and then it is boycotted. That would be pretty pwned.

Here a nice cartoon btw lolz.

Maybe it's a bit harsh, but I think boycotting the Olympics can both be good and bad. Let's weigh it some:

    Pros to Boycott:
    • Set a strong example as a nation that will fight for human rights
    • Force China to acknowledge its failutre to do what is right before the international community
    • Lend a voice to the lesser respect minorities that China has hurt

    Cons to Boycott:
    • Let down the athletes that have been training
    • Create a tense situation with China that could escalate
    • Make the US appear as a hostile nation before the international community

In the end, it could go either way. I think that if we do boycott the Olympics, there have better be a good back up plan for the worst of scenarios.

Also, you have to see the side of the athletes. The air quality is TERRIBLE there, there have been a lot of complains that the athletes could get seriously sick. I personally could go either way though.

We're hated anyways, so who cares if we appear "hostile". Fück 'em.

EDIT: Plus, China hos committed countless human rights violations over the years. I'm all for the boycott.

I pretty much wanted to see this event.

Who choses China to hosts the Olympic Games?

    Oof?
Don't give me this crap, all this "Human Rights VIolation" rubbish.

Seriously, name one ------ing country that hasn't seriously abused Human Rights over the years? People just getting uppity because it's China and it's far away. No one ACTUALLY gives a ------ about Tibet.

And then the "Human Rights Protesters" go and injure the Athletes (Who, in case you didn't realise weren't the ones commiting the violations) now how the hell is that fair human rights.?

    GO GO OLYMPICS.
    Kay?
    Kay.
