On top of only limiting cash to GR related things, accounts or credits, there should be a way to prevent those credits from being spent for a x amount of days. I remember a lot of cases where the person whom bought credits, used an unauthorized credit card and reversed or canceled the charges, and when the seller tried to get the credits back - they were spent. Though, the timeline to truly be safe is 90 days, even an upwards of at least 5 days would be an good thing. For example, the credits are placed in the bank and cannot be removed for the x amount of days would be an easy way to do this. Assuming some sort of automated auction system was put into place. Would be good to have a requirement to register for the forum before viewing near enough anything.. Sure, there will be less guests viewing the boards (well, there won't be any lol), but it will give people a little push to register, and people will perhaps even start posting too.. Will make the forums more active concerning posts/threads etc, even if it does cause less numbers to view the boards.
Put a bigger emphasis on the Large Art section. I, personally, do heaps of signature designs but being completely honest, that's not going to lead you anywhere really. To get paid outside of GR, people want Website templates and CD covers and all sorts of other larger works...by putting more emphasis on them, it may help people become better designers and may, once in a while, help them sell a design or two. (If they aren't taking up designing for a living) You could start this by simply putting the Large Art section above the Signature section. With that alone, it should increase the numbers of viewers per day atleast. Then we should get some tutorials specificially for Large Pieces in there too, to help out people who are new to Large Art. Maybe people could buy the Large Piece tutorials from the Marketplace and free release them in the Large Art section or get some members to make them purely for that section... Just my little thoughts...
I would like to see gamerenders have a desktop application for managing the forum rather than a web based forum.
