I tried smudging alot on this one, tell me what you guys think, also added some light

looks more like a distortion filter than smuding

you need to get more creative with your composition . . . a simple > . < focal isn't too appealing

Simple is good for beginners and we all need to start small...
text isn't that great.....as it distracts your attention too much...
