I installed fresh windows on my computer just now, but I am not sure if this CD for windows was okay or not.. Now when I try to open Internet Explorer, my computer halts and makes a shortcut for IE on the desktop. I don't know what to do but I am doubting that this CD has corrupted installation on it. But before wasting another 1 hour of my life, I would like to know if its a Trojan or something?

if you're not sure if the windows CD you used was okay, chances are it's not okay. don't you have any OEM discs laying around? or maybe something that came with the PC?

^ Yeah they helped, its working fine now! I think it had something to do with the new IE when you first do the update and then you have to install a latest update for IE 7 again from Windows Update..

    Got that fixed now!

    Thanks very much everyone!
