Just a quick note: - I used AVG for months, and it was brilliant, but then started to having problems shutting down that seemed to relate to AVG and problems booting up, funnily enough I uninstalled AVG and haven't had any problems since.

Zonealarm's good, but thats a firewall, so doesn't quite find place there - then again I've had problems with it and firefox before.

Run AVG and Avast on different systems, both work very well. ZoneAlarm should definitely go up there as should AdAware and Spybot Search and Destroy

As of November of last year it was rated #1.

As for zonealarm im pretty sure its a great firewall though i hear its annoying because it blocks everything and you have to take some time to set everything up and then some for other things you install in the future that needs access to the internet.

    EDIT

Heres a free online scan using multiple scanners from AVG, Avast, Kaspersky, etc
