Too broad of a question to answer adequately. The update is still a fair bit into the future, and thus we can't set in stone what will happen or won't happen.
Will there be a new website like basically, will the whole site be redone. And will we have to remake our acc. and stuff? or updates will take place on this board its self. If so, do we get our membership back that we bought? Some things i might like to see... are like a nice homepage like slashTHREE, some thing like that.
The whole site will be redone, but we will retain posts, accounts, memberships, etc. Yes, a new small main site is underway, but it won't be an extensive front page.
If help is needed with the main site, I'm always willing to help Also, how far out do you think the update will be?
Will they're be an increase in the amount of staff you'd be hiring?, Will the restriction to access premium return in v4?, Will v4 bring an in-depth game's focus, Not just the subforum xlink and "crew" are working in, Game Reviewer staff position?
June 1st is our planned deadline, but its not set in stone, as we still are looking for an expert coder capable of making the custom modifications were asking for, and none of the people currently submitting portfolios are worth anything to us. Likely not. We will be removing staff, globals and sectionals, and likely promoting current staff to fill those positions and possibly removing community mods as a whole. That is one thing we are working on. We are looking to move GR towards professional gaming and designing, not the basic kiddy stuff we have thus far. We are going to be accepting NEW applications from game reviewers, and expecting SERIOUS and very, very in depth articles regarding new games, as well as strategies, etc. from our gaming group.
Kind of, but on a more community based concept. It will still be the old GR, just with a new concept from the staff and hopefully from the members. Hopefully these changes help unify the members whom are the true GR members and inspires them to become better artists in the realm of graphic design. It won't be to the extent of IGN and / or Depthcore at first, as we don't have the member base for either, but in the grand scheme, I can see GR comparing ourselves to them.
Its staying IPB. This is v3, its been in the footer for over a year now. GR v2 is when we updated the IPB boards and installed new mods and supplied new forums and guidelines. Technically, this is above #3, but that only really if you include the old phpBB boards most of you don't remember before IPB was used.
