Well, my Vista works well and gets the job done. ^_^

It was for a fresh comp so I consider this great compared to my XP. I like the theme. xD

I have XP on my desktop, and definitely prefer it to the Vista on my laptop... I have 3gb of RAM in my laptop, so I do not really notice any slowdown (unless its from processor strain, which really only happens when I open up photoshop).

it's harddrive performance killing your PS time. harddrives in latops are really slow due to space and power restraints.

If you want to get Vista, then make sure your computer has a good amount of RAM, because it eats on that too. I got 2 GBs of RAM, and Vista runs good on mine. Home Premium, however i recomend you stick to XP, unless you really need Vista. :\

I just started using Vista on my new PC and I'm starting to like it a lot more. It's not exactly user friendly when it comes to installing programs as most of them need tweaking due to minor issues. For example I had to edit my registry in order to get Quicktime to open after I installed it. I was getting "Comsurrogate Error's" when viewing thumbnails (avi's) and that was a codec issue that I fixed.

So if you can get through all the "fixes" and such it's really nice and has good features.
