I used my virtual memory to mimic 6 gigs of ram on my computer.
PS opens a lot faster now :D.
I only have 312 mb of actual ram tho.

    I just did this:

    •Right clicked My computer

    •Clicked Properties

    •Advanced tab

    •Performance> Settings

    •Advanced tab again

and then I changed my virtual memory to like 6000 on custom size settings.

Its a huge difference compared to my 312 mb ram.
All tho its taking up 6 gigs of my hdd, ill just have to watch how much stuff i have so i dont go low on memory (I have a 20 GB hdd... old computer)

I used 4GB of physical memory to...
    HAHA

    YOU LOOSE

    I just did this:

    •Bought memory, it's around $15 a GB right now

    •turned off my system

    •opened the case

    •inserted memory

and then I adjusted my BIOS settings to accommodate for the increase load on the memory controller, though usually you don't' have to do that

FYI I more or less disable virtual memory(I leave 512mb simply because photoshop is a PITA because it assumes you have to little RAM)... it slows my system down...

    Cool.

My computer doesn't support over 500 mb of ram.
So I used the virtual ram like you said.
