Roty 2007 Collection- John Kanuch

Hi everybody.

In this thread, you will find my work from all the "Renderer of the Year 2007" competition. They are ordered by the time used in the competition. Some of them are not the best, but on the other hand, some had surprised even me.
I hope you like them.

This is also the point, when I'm going to make an announcement.
I've been rendering for nearly two years. Starting with the eraser, learning to use the pentool, then channel extraction, implementing polygonal lasso and cutting hair. I made my way to the rank of quite a decent renderer. I joined ROTY and finished at the third place.
And this is, where I stop.

Yep, that's it. I quit rendering.

Maybe not forever, I just need to take a break, focus on my studies and maybe try something new (LPs look good). I will, of course, still wander around here, but I'm not going to make any more renders, unless I feel like it.

About the DMC package: I wanted to finish it by the time DMC4 is out, but I failed horribly. But, who knows, I might try finishing it during the summer break. Depends on my spare time.

Oh, and one more thing.
I would like to thank 3 particular people.

Greats renders. It's unfortunate that you're leaving, but feel free to come back any time.

 

Hope you take a break and come back to it. You deservere the break. You've done quite a few nice renders.

Aye great renders by a great renderer... I myself have been on that break that your talking about LOL.
Well deserved 3rd place, did much better than myself I must add.
Real life eventually gets in the way, but I hope you come bak to compete in ROTW again because I'm hoping to make my comeback soon
