Disabling Keybord Buttons

Hello guys,
is there a way to disable a simgle button on a keyboard ?

I want to disable my stupid sleep button, because everytime Im playing cod4 i actidantaly press it and it cuts my wireles enet for 5 mins and bugs me ALOT !

So does anyone know how to disable this button ?

 

I guess i don't have it, that sleep key, so:

-Maybe instal drivers and set a different function for that key .

OR

Get a needle and take the key off ; D

would work, but makes my kebord look like crap xD

 

Get another keyboard, a non multimedia one is most recommended.

 

lol i was gonna say pop it off like verbal . what kinda keyboard are you using?

 

did the keybord come with a program? usally special buttons like the sleep button can be changed with the program

 

my logitech'z stand by key is like set further in the keyboard (E.G.cg no accidental compression of teh button)))

how about you just use linux and your shortcut keys most likely wont work~!~!!!!!

 

Well im using an HP one that came with my PC, and I love it !!! works so well.

Didnt come with any programs ...

And my sleep button is like 1CM to the left of my tab ` and ESC key ... so when i play cod I always roam neer it xD

 

You may be able to disable it in the keyboard options in your control panel.

You could also see if you could get an AutoHotkeys script to disable it?

 

I have a logitec s510. my sleep key is concave. i also hey the option to customize a lot of my buttons with the programs it came with


if its an older keyboard i would just recommend replacing it =]
