Alright. I was talking with my cousin the other day about schools. I hopefully plan on going to a school for either graphic or game design, but I don't know which of the two for sure yet. She said that private schools are better and help you get more jobs and stuff, but i was looking into Art Institutes that also provided a good curriculum. If anyone knows anything about the two and would like to help me out, i'd appreciate just a little input. I also was wondering if it was true that if i did go to an art institute, if i would only be able to get a job around that state or city that i went to the school. I appreciate the time you took stopping by just let me know in here. thank you.
Well, it really depends. If you're completely sure that you want to do Graphic Design, then and Art Institute is great, because you'll focus more on that than core classes and your portfolio will grow a lot. However, if there's still any doubt whatsoever, I'd suggest going to another school that has a graphic design program and then if you need to change majors, you don't need to transfer. As far as the job goes, it'll really depend on your school's policy on living off campus, having a car on campus as a freshman, and how far you're willing to drive. I'd suggest getting a job close to campus unless you're commuting though, because if you can walk to work, you save a lot of money on gas. Hope this all helps.
haha yeah but i was talking about like jobs after college going into your ----- career. but yes you did help me a bit. some more input from some people would be appreciated.
If you're serious about game/graphic design and are willing to spend the money and time into an education to go into either of those fields...I have two words for you... Full Sail.
thanx i'll be sure to check it out tonight. any other suggestions anyone? haha i need to go somewhere in the US or Canada because that alone is gona cost lots of money overseas would b a pain of a loan to pay off haha
