1) FireFox: Whenever I open a link in a new window, the Toolbar Bookmarks are gone. It's no that much of a problem, but it gets a little irritating. Any ideas? 2) Windows Live Messenger: Anytime I login, it restarts after I send or receive an IM. I re-installed it (yesterday was the third or fourth time), and it still fails. I'm using Vista Home Premium, if that matters. Also, I thought it could have had something to do with Message Plus, however I've uninstalled that and the problem still occurs. Any ideas? 3) I was trying to visit a specific forum where I am helping out the administrator. However, recently I was unable to access the site unless I used a proxy. Any ideas as to why this is happening? Lastly, I was curious to know if anybody has ever used a proxy addon with FireFox. If so, I would appreciate you posting or contacting me as I'd like to get help setting one up. Thanks for any suggestions, advice, or help.
For the msn problem: Try clicking rights mouse button on the msn executable and click: run as administrator (or something comparable). If that doesn't work.. try trillian some time: http://www.ceruleanstudios.com/ (you can login to MSN with trillian). For the third problem: if you can visit the site when you use a proxy, it's most-likely a server-side problem, or you have been consuming too much bandwidth (and have been blocked for several days/weeks) or you have been banned from the server. There could also be a problem with your providers Nameservers. Try asking your friend the server-ip and just paste the ip into you browser bar... check if you can visit it that way... What do you mean by: 'toolbar bookmarks' btw?
Thanks frontmill. By toolbar bookmarks, I mean the bookmarks on the FireFox Toolbar, below the address bar. Also, I can't access it via the IP. What would that mean?
