It's been a really long time since I've done anything, and this one I decided I'd try something way different from anything I've ever done. I tried to create something with a lot of contrast and a dark theme. I'm trying to figure out how to make this better, I've got ideas, but I'd like more input before I move on. New version: I don't think it's bad considering that I've been away from this sort of thing for a long time now. -------------- So here's a new sig I spent some time on. I'm considering making it into a tutorial if there proves to be enough interest. I'm aware the change is tacky, and I hae some alternatives, but I'd rather not do them. C&C and if you're interested in seeing a tutorial on this, please tell me. -------------- And another one, this one isn't a dark theme, it's more of just a picture than a signature. It's kind of a shout-out to the artists around the dawning of photography. C&C, please. This one was very experimental. (Ugh, can't wait for the "no fohkawl" comments).
What is your focal actually? If the bird should be, blur the building in the bg more. If not, then blur the bird itself a bit more so you create some better depth. The flow is pretty nice.
The whole purpose was for it not to fit. I editted the above to try and do some of what you guys said,t hough. Any better, any worse?
Added a new sig, I'm placing more importance on it now. If you would like to see a tutorial on it, please tell me, because I'm thinking about making one for it. C&C very much appreciated!
To comment on the tag you first posted, as many others said, it's kinda needs a focal point (at least when I look at it, I can't find a place to focus on, like that parrot). It kinda has two focals, both the parrot and the building. On the other one, it's a very nice idea, and the message is pretty much damn accurate.
I'm still tweaking that first one to try and figure out how I can create my proper focus. I want it to be on the parrot, but I do know I want people to see the direction it's heading. I find that my eye kind of looks all over it, too, so I definately know what you guys mean. Maybe if I took the lightsource behind the bird... Ok I think I can figure that one out. And does anyone have anything else to say about my second one?
