Computer Wont Turn On After Chkdsk?

    I ran chkdsk but it said it will run at next restart so i finished of my spyware scan using spyware blaster and it asked me to restart to remove them.
    So i restarted and now its started up but has a black screen but i can hear the computer running. number pad lights aint working so i guess its not fully on? Confused so im here askin what should i do/try?

    umm, thats a good one.

    When my computer does that I just unplug it, wait 30 mins replug it and it works fine.

    can you get as far as the bios or doesnt it show anything at all?

    Well before it wasnt showing anything at all
    but i turned it on again and it showed the white writing that comes up then went black again

    Got it to the part where it says:

    Safe mode
    Safe mode with networking
    Start windows with last known configuration
    Start windows normally

    All off them when i choose them just restart and go back to it

    Weird, Usually safe mode always works ...

    I usually always tale "Start windows with last know configuration"

    You can always try booting from ur XP/Vista Disk.... might work.
