Yesterday at 8-9 pm it was earth hour...

"This global event encourages everyone worldwide to turn off their LIGHTS ! (just lights -- not tv or computer or whatever) between 8:00 - 9:00 PM. The goal is to bring businesses, government and residents together to make a very visible difference in energy use."

Here in the philippines a lot of people joined in and a lot of people turned off all their lights at home .
Also on all the billboards and streetlamps and shop signs.

Did you help make a difference ?

    (edit)
it's good to know some people care --- honestly i did it for fun but then again if the world is all polluted and ---- and we all die .. how will i get to use photoshop (>_<)

They kinda made a study about what would happend if earth hour in sydney australia (just one city) continued for and results showed that the pollution didn't happend in that one hour was equivalent to taking 48,616 cars off the road.

Amazing huh ? I don't wanna sound like some save the whales freak but i really think we r fuc*ed if the world continues the way it is .....

I did not join, sorry, but I was at friends house, there were 3 TV's on at the same time, 3 Computers, 10 Rooms Lights on all in the Earth Hour!

I saw google.co.uk changed there homepage to black from the normal white for the earth hour, however I did not know the times at which this event was going to take place. The Earth is going crazy and mad anyway at the moment so the sooner the whole earth ends, the better really!

Between those hours, I had my pool being warmed, all of my lights on, my computer/xbox on, and to top it off I was charging 4 electric golf carts infront of my house.

    I love Earth.

Google had their lights off, thought that was cool, other than that:

I do not believe in Gore's revenge telling the media we will all die. Global Warming is like a Presidential Debate, media makes a big deal about it, and turns out, it's really nothing at all. "Global Climate" fluctuates, it's not constantly getting warmer. So no, i did nothing about Earth Hour, and neither did ANY business around here.

I didn't join it because I didn't know about it. If I would have known about it, I would have joined it for sure.
