I'm looking for a program for Windows that will allow me to import video clips, and then take specific video clips from those clips. I'm working on a video compilation and I need to be able to take parts of about 8 clips, probably about 15 seconds from each one. Does anyone know of a program? Preferably free, but I might be using this a lot, so just tell me of any programs that you know of please. Thanks a ton in advanced.

I'm using that program to put the clips together, but it doesn't allow you to alter the clip's length.

I find it odd that Movie Maker doesn't allow you to edit the lengths of the clips, or slice them to the appropriate size.

I'm pretty sure Windows Movie Maker allows you to clip them. In the timeline, I think you can click and drag the clip to shorten it.
