I think it is a bit too dark. That is why there is no real depth.
I like the effects, the flow, but the signature could need a bit more of colors.

Well lets see.
Basically
add colors, add lighting, add a light resource, set a (at best) small focal point where all goes together.

 

actually the lighting is good, the focal is decent, and its not really dark at all. only thing i really suggest is to not rely on c4ds for almost all of your effects

Not bad, pretty good lighting, i think good, nice BG effects.
